Client Testimonials

"The team at Cazbah were absolutely superb in helping to pull together our Research Showcase events in North and South Wales. It was the first time we had organised this type of event and Kate and Caroline at Cazbah allowed us to focus on the core content of highlighting Open University world class research outcomes, knowing we could leave pre-event, on the day and post-event logistics safely in their hands."

Showcase Events

The Brief
To plan and organise two events to promote the breadth and diversity of the Open University's work.

Their aim was to position the Open University (OU) as a valuable academic partner in collaborative ventures, both in research and other projects.

This required representation from key personnel from Higher and Further Education, Employers, the Welsh Government and other policy makers and researchers.

Our Approach
To achieve these aims Cazbah needed to add value beyond ensuring that the events smoothly.

We called upon our marketing knowledge to create a brand to help the OU to position themselves effectively for the showcase events and beyond.

We developed a suite of promotional online sources and offline literature and invites carrying the brand, engaging with customers through teaser quiz questions.

We worked with the OU in Wales to develop a programme for the events using Open Space Technology to create a 'buzz' in the room and stimulate discussion.

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive for all aspects of the events:-

Venue: Excellent setting, professional service, appropriate for event, good access

Pre-event organisation: Organisationally well structured and managed with clear lines of responsibility and accountability

On the day: Professional but relaxed atmosphere. Good support from OU in Milton Keynes.

Enthusiastic reception for BH's presentation. There was a real 'buzz' on the day!

Post event follow-up: All attendees were contacted following the event and several leads are being actively pursued.

All in all delegate feedback was overwhelmingly positive with the primary event aim of raising the profile of the OU and its research excellence fully met.
