Client Testimonials

"The team at Cazbah were absolutely superb in helping to pull together our Research Showcase events in North and South Wales. It was the first time we had organised this type of event and Kate and Caroline at Cazbah allowed us to focus on the core content of highlighting Open University world class research outcomes, knowing we could leave pre-event, on the day and post-event logistics safely in their hands"

Defnyddio’r Gymraeg

The Brief
Increase the use of Welsh language services among new and young users aged between 16 and 21 by visiting 13 schools and colleges across Wales, reaching 1000 young people.

Our Approach
We aimed to make the sessions engaging, fun, with plenty of substance to give the students plenty to think about. The focus was on 'why' young people should make a habit of using their Welsh - to retain their language skills, build their confidence and independence, for their communities and their careers!

We used our knowledge and experience of education in Wales to adapt the sessions to fit perfectly with the institutions aspirations for their students - the sessions would demonstrate encourage the use of welsh outside of the classroom whilst also contributing to the Welsh Baccalaureate activities in school.

To help young people relate and engage with the cause we recruited 'role models' as ambassadors for the Welsh language, young people who'd achieved success through the Welsh language in business, entertainment and sport. They were paired up with our expert facilitators for one hour sessions in each school/college and featured in a film promoting the benefits of Welsh.

To ensure that young people had information necessary to access Welsh Language services we distributed a credit card sized USB card with information about where to access Welsh language services as well as button badges to identify them as Welsh speakers in their work.

95% of attendees found the sessions useful.

90% felt that the video inspired them to use their Welsh more outside school.

In the words of the students, the campaign was :

It was 'Spot on'
Come back next year!
